Pangasinan, home of the Hundred Islands, is also home of the delicious Puto Calasiao too. This is a type of rice cake, but is distinctive of its shape. It is small - bite size, soft and sticky but yummy. There are different kinds of flavor giving it attractive colors that are very appealing to the eyes.
Whenever visiting Pangasinan or other northern parts of luzon, make a short trip to Calasiao and treat yourself with these inviting putos (best paired with dinuguan!) and buy your loved ones too..
