TUPIG of Pangasinan
If you are visiting the great attractions of the North, watch out for street hawkers in the Pangasinan area where they sell this delicious Tupig. Or better yet, stop over at Mangaldan (a town in Pangasinan), where there are a lot of sellers grilling tupig in sidewalks. Look for their plaza which is in front of the Municipal hall. It's not hard to look for since it is just in the main road. So if you spot tons of grills (selling like bbq), see a lot of smoke, and smell burnt banana leaves - you are in the right place! Buy a lot of these as they are cheap.
I recommend you eat this for breakfast as this is best paired with coffee!
Heat it in the oven for superb taste.
Eat this during merienda and pair it with hot choco or tableya.
Can also be a desert - top it with caramel syrup or drizzle with choco or cocoa powder.
Or just eat it on it's own!
